Development Education Project
DEP works with children and young people, teachers, trainee teachers, youth workers and other educators to promote global education and education for sustainable development.
We are based in Manchester and our geographical coverage is Greater Manchester.

DEP's aims
DEP aims to encourage and develop learning approaches and methods which will:
- enable people to recognise in their own lives the links between North and South*, and to acknowledge how much we can learn from one another
- increase understanding of the economic, social, cultural, political, environmental and spiritual forces that shape the relationship between North and South*, and which effect us all
- enable people to achieve a more just and sustainable world in their schools and communities, as well as more widely, in which power and resources are more fairly shared by all.
* Global North and South, as opposed to within Great Britain
