The Developing Citizenship Project
The Developing Citizenship project supports secondary school teachers,
governors and managers in responding to these challenges and opportunities (see the QCA quote, left)
by creating practical ideas for:
- the school curriculum – providing young people with experiences
of active citizenship in a globalised society;
- opportunities to participate – for young people in their school
and local community;
- school policies – reflecting the global context of our local
communities;
- whole-school approaches – to citizenship education with a global
perspective;
- sharing experiences and ideas – between teachers, school managers
and governors.
