Where to now... to Make Poverty History?

Edition 42, October 2005

After so many schools and pupils took part in the Make Poverty History activities leading up to the G8, campaigners believe it is vital to engage young people in the fight against poverty.

Global Express explores the events of this year and hightlights the key issues of aid, debt and trade.

This edition contains photocopiable classroom activities for 8 to 14-year-olds, which explore the main aims of Make Poverty History and the Millennium Development Goals. They encourage pupils to think critically about the events during the year and the media coverage of the issues, as well as explore their personal feelings towards poverty.
