Manchester Development Education Project
is seeking an:
Events Coordination Administrator
To work on the Science for Global Citizenship (SFGC) project
The post is a short term freelance contract from: September to November 2010
The work is expected to take10 to 15 days at a daily rate of £120
The work will support the delivery of SFGC events during Manchester Science Festival and will take place at a range of venues across Manchester.
The DEP projects aim to. enable people to achieve a more just and sustainable world, in their schools and communities as well as more widely, in which power and resources are more fairly shared by all.
You will be a strong communicator and excellent organiser, experienced in event coordination with design and marketing knowledge. You will also be confident in working with a range of staff and organisations and able to meet deadlines. Ability to use own initiative and prioritise is important.
Own car is desirable but not essential
The DEP Offices within the Manchester Metropolitan University campus, Didsbury and a desk are available to use, though much of the work will take place off site around Manchester.

To work with the DEP Core and Projects Teams
The post is a short term contract from: October 2010 - March 2011
The contract may be extended, dependant on funding.
Salary Scale Point 12 - 16 (starting at £14.847)
MDEP are looking for someone who can work with us in creating a strong and visible presence, develop strategic partnerships and relationships and be pro-active in seeking out development opportunities.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly and relate to a wide ranging audience is also key to the role.
