'What is Science for?'
Teacher Conference - Exploring science in a global society
I am pleased to invite you and your colleagues to attend our exciting Science for Global Citizenship conference being held in Cheshire at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum on 25th February 2012.
The conference will enable KS3/4 science teachers to engage with topical debates about the potential of science in today's world. Whilst exploring innovative and participatory teaching methods for bringing these issues into the classroom/learning environment.
The conference will consist of interactive workshops and speakers including:
Andrew Hunt - Making sense of our global interdependence through science
Professor Malcolm Dando - Bioethics and biological weapons
Eric Fewster - Science and engineering in relief and development
The cost is ONLY £45 per person and £15 for trainee teachers to include lunch and FREE resources
