Earth Summit Simulations

Development Education Project has developed a 1-2 day simulation of an Earth Summit for a whole year group. Students take on the roles of countries, multinationals, NGOs, the media and the Summit Organisers or Secretariat. Each group researches and prepares for the final event which they organise and control themselves.

It has been run successfully with students from year 8 to Upper 6th. Number of classes have varied from 6-10, the average size per class has been 28.

It is available as an activity on the WWF Learning website along with many more activities.
