Peer Education Project
Pupil Comments
The students who participated in the Development Education Project: School to School
Peer Education and the Global Dimension were given the opportunity to feed back to the
staff and their peers about the involvement in the project. This is a few comments from
pupils we have had over the past few years.
I gained trust in myself, the trust of other people and I feel sort of empowered after visiting the primary schools
I think it has made me think about schools a lot more in terms of what I do affects other people
Helped me to get my opinion across clearly, it has helped me in school by making presentations a
lot easier and asking and answering questions easier as well.
I have gained more confidence in standing up in front of people both younger and older than me
It has helped me realise how lucky I am to have an education
The skills that I have learnt are: Communication, Concentration, Co-operation. I have gained confidence
and self-praise. I am proud of myself as I have overcome my fear of speaking in front of a lot of people
so I think Peer Education has helped me in more ways than one
It has made school more fun and interesting
Encouraged to act more responsibly because you’re trusted
Some of the stuff we learnt about made you realise these thing better how what you do affects the world,
instead of just telling you what affects it
I have gained a much better attitude, knowledge of the world around me and I feel more able to work with other people.
I have learnt a lot more than I did at the beginning of the year about global issues and being a good citizen of our country
Make me think and help the planet we live on by teaching other people what to do to save planet earth
The project has helped me to become a more active global citizen
This has helped me to be a good global citizen - to re-cycle, pick up litter, and give to charity and
to make others more aware
I have been able to leave the primary school knowing that I have done something good by informing younger
children about important things.
