DEP offer training for teachers, student teachers, educationalists and third sector organisations to embed the global dimension and global citizenship in their practice.

Nov - IFW12 (Inter-Faith Week 2012)

Nov - Global Youth Work: A twighlight workshop for youth and community workers who are already or want to develop local to global perspectives in their practice.

Nov - Primary to Secondary Transition: Using the DEP publication 'Going Up Growing Up' this twighlight will provide a structured programme for teachers in primaryu and secondary schools for transistion using peer education and the global dimension

Nov - SFGC (Science for Global Citizenship) 

January - March 2013

Jan - Another spanner in the works. This full day course works through some of the content of the publication 'Spanner in the works' and provides a toolkit for teachers in mainly white schools to challange attitudes safely and encourage respect and tolerance.

Feb - Fairtrade: Be prepared for Fair Trade fortnight with this session which will give teachers access to resources and practical ideas for integrating fairtrade into the whole school delivery

March - Social Enterprise Qualification Mentor Training: To enable schools/youth projects to run accredited training with their pupils/young people. DEP are the North West training providers.

March - Personal to Global Finance: this course provides tools and a framework with which to explore issues related to finance and money with a local to global link in the classroom.

April - July 2013

April - International Childrens Book Day: A twighlight for teachers, librarians and parents to enjoy stories from around the world and create/share ideas for home and/or work

May - World Fair Trade Day: 

June - Global Dimension in the Geography curriculum: A twighlight session providing ideas for linking Refugee and Geography Awareness Week in the class room

June - Geography Awareness Week: A day long workshop for Yr9 pupils

July  - Young Inventors Schools Programme: A twighlight to introduce schools to the DEP SFGC Young Inventors Programme; a series of 6 themes each with 6 lesson plans, extension activities and linking to the curriculum
